Well we made the transition from baby crib to toddler bed with Luke about 2 weeks ago. We prolonged that move as long as we could, but the little guy was bound to fall out of his bed due to all his climbing abilities. He hadn't actually climbed out or in of the crib but he was notorious for climbing on top of his changing table and playing with either the light switch or some toy he'd drag up top. Boys...they are quite adventurous. He also enjoys taking the night light out of the wall and taking it apart. For a few nights, he slept without a night light but I gave in and put it back in his room. He doesn't seem to mind either way!
Back to the new bed. Lauren was/is insanely jealous of Luke's new bed. Not only is it a new bed but it's a new Lightning McQueen race car bed. She said, "I like Luke's bed better than mine". We've been trying to train her to stay dry in her bed at night so then she can get a big girl bed too. The day we got Luke his bed she said, "But Lukie still wears diapers. He can't have a big kid bed". Life is tough when your 4 years old. ;) She will get a new bed soon since she's about hanging off her toddler bed. But once she moves up to a twin, her bed won't fit in her tent anymore and that is another reason why we haven't moved her up too. She loves to sleep in her tent.
