Not alot going on around here. Our biggest excitement recently is getting our aquarium started up again. It's been dormant for about a year and a half so we set it up about a week ago. Lauren was very excited to get fish. She picked out 5 little male guppies last Tuesday and eagerly took them home....Poor fish, I think our tank should be labeled "The Tank of Death". We've replaced each fish at least once and currently have 2 dead fish to be replaced. Lauren hasn't noticed that the fish are different or that there are only 3 fish now. I'm not sure what's going on but hopefully the little guys will hang on and adapt.

On another note, we've been enjoying the summer like weather the last few days. It's been so warm that we had to buy some summer clothes early, but never fear the colder weather comes back tomorrow. The kids had fun playing outside especially Luke. He had fun trying to keep up with Lauren on the swing set, climbing, and sliding. Lauren had fun riding her bike and kept the helmet on even when she wasn't riding.

Twice today while we were out, people thought Luke was a girl. I guess he's just "too pretty" to be a boy. He is pretty though! Course he looked all boy after eating his Oreo cookie at dinner tonight. He really enjoyed it.

On a totally different note, please remember a few of our friends who are going through some physical trials right now. Our friend Kelly who's 31 is battling breast cancer. Another friend Rachel, her daughter Katelyn who's 5 was diagnosed with a chronic kidney disorder. And 2 other friends recently had a miscarriage so it's been a rough time for all of them. I've felt very burdened for them and pray that the Lord will lift them up, strengthen them, encourage them, and heal them. Hearing and seeing them go through all this has made me stop and realize just how precious life really is. May I never take another day/moment for granted.

I love Luke in his hat. We enjoyed the beautiful weather too. So sad to see it go so soon. So sorry to hear about the trouble with your friends. It does make you stop and realize we have so much to be thankful for.
