Zoo Trip

Last Thursday, Lauren, Luke, and I went to the zoo with some of our friends. We met up with our friends Mary and Amanda and their kids. All total there were 3 moms and 6 kids ages 4, 3, 3, 15 months, 4 months, and 6 wks. We had quite a crowd! Lauren was very excited to see her friends and so was I.
The kids loved all the animals at the zoo, but were absolutely captivated by the bamboo around the zoo. We couldn't keep them out of it. Then once they got out of the bamboo, they were trying to get into the water and see the fish! Their favorite thing to do was to run off real fast so we couldn't catch them. One of us would take turns running after the older ones while the other two stayed with the younger ones in the strollers. Tre' and Lauren K. did great at stopping when asked, however, Lauren just kept on going. She may be little, but she can run pretty fast.

We stopped along the way and had a picnic which was nice. All the kids kept eating each other's lunch and then would run around chasing each other in between lunch bites. Little Emily was the best eater. She enjoyed a little bit of everybody's lunch. She'd sneak her little hand over to someone else's lunch and nibble away! She is too cute! Little Luke and little Emma just strolled along enjoying the ride.

We all had a great time at the zoo. It was nice to see Mary, Amanda, and their kids. We miss seeing them all at the park like we use to do. Enjoy the pictures of the "monkeys" we took to the zoo and have a great week.
