First Day of Preschool

Lauren started her first day of preschool today. She is growing so fast. I can't believe that she is ready for preschool. She helped make her lunch- pb & j, pretzels, carrot sticks, milk, an apple, and animal crackers. Despite still being tired from vacation, she was excited to go. We all took her into her class and met her teacher, Ms. Shannon. She didn't hesitate at all to jump right in. When the next little girl came into class, Lauren went to her and said, "Hi, my name is Lauren" which is what we practiced for her to say to her classmates. I tried to teach her to also add, "what's your name?" but Lauren kept saying her name whenever I said the question.

She learned about Noah's ark at Bible time, the letter "r", farm items (their theme for this week), apples and Johnny Appleseed, read stories, and rested during nap time. She played well and ate all her lunch (except the carrot sticks which she ate in the car on the way home). Overall, she had a great, busy day. Her teacher said she had a great day. She passed out in the car from exhaustion. Let's hope she sleeps well tonight. Hopefully, Friday will go just as well as today.
