It has been a whirlwind of a month for us. The month started off with crazy raining and flooding. We then headed to visit family for my sister's MBA graduation--yeah Alicia!!--and to visit mom for Mother's day. Now we are winding up the school year with a zoo field trip, t-ball games and end of the school year celebrations. We also went to the Renaissance festival today but I'll get to that in the next post.
Here's where Lauren's preK class went to the zoo this past Monday. Lauren and her friends were more amazed at the "ordinary" animals like the 4 or 5 lizards (you can just barely see him in the pic above) we saw along the way and the geese family that was walking around the picnic table area. (very smart birds!) The kids got to enjoy a special class where they learned about and touched some of the smaller animals. The first was a hissing cockroach (yuck!), then a corn snake followed by a Papa New Guniea dog. Lauren did pet all of them even the cockroach...I did not! After class we had lunch then saw a few more animals and headed to the play place at the zoo. We loaded up some very tired and cranky kids and went back to school to play a t-ball game at 4! Needless to say, it was a very long but very fun day for Lauren.

Looks like a fun day. May is always SOOOO busy!!!
Oh I love these pics!!! It almost made me cry to see their class - how much they have grown since the beginning of the preschool experience. Okay. Getting emotional. Must quit! :)
