"Homeless"

Tomorrow's the day we move out of our house. Yeah!! We are very excited to move into our new house, but found out that won't be until Monday Feb. 4. We have to move out then because the new people are moving in. So we're kind of "homeless" for a week. Not to fear, we do have a place to stay and a place to put all our stuff.

We were to close on the new house this Tuesday, but the builder didn't file a letter of completion for the house in time. For those of you who don't know what that means (including me when I heard this), any subcontractor/contractor the builder used in building our house has up to 10 days to file a lien against the house if they have not been paid by the builder at the time of the sale. Since we had another bathroom added, the builder had to file this letter again. What he failed to do and to tell us, is that he didn't file this letter until this past Thursday Jan 25. This is when we found out we would be "homeless" for a while. Fortunately, our realtor (aka Robert's cousin) is letting us move our stuff into her garage and stay with her for a week. Thank you, thank you to her!

So despite having to recall and reset up all our moving times, deliveries, and moving help, we will be signing and moving in on Monday February 4. Lord willing! :) Please pray that this week goes well for us since we won't be at our house and that the kids won't be too crazy.

This will be my last post for a while until we get moved in since I don't have access to internet or the computer during the move. But I'll post how the move went and all the craziness from the upcoming week. Until then, have a great week!
