Today has been a crazy busy day. Lauren went to Mother's Day Out to start off the day. When we got to her school, I found out that parents were allowed to come back and join the kids at their Pumpkin Patch activity and class party. So Luke and I made it back around 10am to see Lauren at her Pumpkin Patch event. Lauren didn't know we were coming back so she was surprised and excited when we showed up to see her at school. The event was in the gym and the kids got to play games, get their picture taken by the fall backdrop, and pick out a pumpkin of their own. Of course, I didn't have my camera and my cell phone battery was dead so I didn't get any pictures taken. However, another mom took some and is suppose to email them to me. At least she's smart and remembered her camera! :)
We didn't stick around for the party since we were more of a distraction than a help to the class and Ms. Shannon, Lauren's teacher. After school, we relaxed for the afternoon and then headed out to "Trunk or Treat" at a church down the road. My neighbor had invited us so we went and got lots of candy. Even though Luke didn't have a candy bag nor does he have any teeth to eat the candy, we still ended up with candy for him. There were games, a bouncy house, horses, and a picture booth at the church. Lauren had alot of fun. The "trunk or treat" only took about 30 minutes to go through so we headed back home and gave out some candy to a few kids in the neighborhood until about 8pm. Luke made it in the bed around 7:45 and Lauren made it in around 8:15--not too far off schedule. They should sleep well tonight.
