Lauren had her first soccer game today. Her team the Sunflowers beat the Pink Panthers team 3-1 in a shootout. For those of you new to soccer that means the game ended in a tie and then each team got a chance to shoot one-on-one with the opposing team's goalie to earn more points. We scored 2 extra points in the shootout. Lauren played defense during her playing time. She sat out during the first quarter to "watch" how to play, but she really didn't watch what was going on. When she did get on the field, she pretty much stayed right where her coach told her to be which is good, but she thought she couldn't move from that spot! She did get a few kicks in and she blocked a few shots from the opposing team--pretty good for her first game. Her next game is on Saturday at 9am. Go Sunflowers!! PS: She's #8 in the pics.

She looks so tiny out there on that field. I lve that they are the sunflowers. Such a cute name!!Hope ya'll have a good season!
