Luke seems to be reaching certain milestones alot faster than Lauren did or it seems that way. Maybe it's just that time with him seems to go by so quickly. I can't believe his already 18 months old...he was just born last week! LOL :) Anyway, he's learning all kinds of new things to say. Of course no one else can understand what he's trying to say, but here's a few words he's trying to say: "caw"= car; "ple"= please; "dun"= for dunking the basketball; "baktball"=basketball; "pan"= pants. He says several other words but his favorite one to demonstrate is "nose" because he sticks his finger up his nose! Just like a boy. He's also likes to swing in the big swing now. He does really good hanging on.
He's also learned how to open doors--a milestone he learned a little too soon. Hopefully, he doesn't reach the milestone of climbing out of his bed too soon either.Lauren is growing up so fast too. She is very ready for her preK in the fall. We'll be out and she'll point out different letters, or ask what shapes do I see, and other "smart" things. She likes to do preK workbooks where you match up items or trace/write letters and numbers all kinds of things. She's getting so big. In this pic, Lauren actually got to pet our cat. He is NOT a social cat as most of you know and he really doesn't like Lauren because she always pesters him. So this is a rare photo of the two of them!
This summer, the kids have enjoyed these two bunnies that we've seen in the yard the past few weeks. Every morning while we're eating breakfast they come out of the woods and eat grass. The other day they were on our patio and the smaller bunny actually got up on the step right outside the door. Lauren was very excited and Luke just squealed. We've also seen turkeys, turtles, all kinds of insects, and bats. Kind of like having our on Animal Planet show!

Emily was singing in a big swing early, too. After watching Lauren, there was no way she wanted to be in a baby swing. We need to get together soon.
Oops, that was supposed to be swing, not sing, though she does that too.
It is amazing how fast they are growing. Luke seems to be doing very well. I can't believe he is swinging in the big swing already. My kids would be going crazy over the animals also. The only bunny we see is the one that keeps getting our garden and eating all the strawberries. Bad bunny!!!
