Luke was fitted for his helmet today. Robert and I took him this morning to have a mold of his head made so they could make his helmet. Luke did really well. Of course he didn't like the cold wet plaster on his head, but he really didn't fuss too much. I think more of the plaster was on me than on him by the time it was all over! We go back next Thursday for his actual fitting which takes about 3-4 hours. Today only took about 30 minutes. Next week's appt is longer because they have to make adjustments to the helmet while we're there and make sure we know how to properly take it on and off and how to clean it, etc. So hopefully that will go well. We did snap one picture of Luke right before we cleaned off the excess plaster mess. You know me and my scrapbooking craziness!
He was pretty messy even though the plaster didn't go over the front of his face just down to his eyebrows. He kept trying to pull at it because it annoyed him not because it hurt him. By the way, he does have a diaper on although he does look naked in the picture!
On another note, Lauren's birthday is tomorrow! We're heading to Chuck E. Cheese and Toys R Us to celebrate. I'll fill everyone in on the details soon! Have a great day!
